There are 3 general categories of adult blogs:
- Porn Blog - Updated daily with photos that link to hosted galleries and join pages. Each entry has a short synopsis of the sex content and urges the readers to Join Now for Only X Number of Dollars!
- Erotica Blog - Painstakingly written sex stories. These are for the most part textual and very long-winded. I personally do not have the patience or interest to read twenty paragraphs of sex fantasy. In any case, you can find a good selection of them at Cunning Linguists.
- Obscene or Adult Related Blogs - These are not graphic enough to be considered either of the above, but they are still intended for an adult audience. Examples are Big Hominid’s Hairy Chasms and Hammer Uncut
Unfortunately, porn blogs have degenerated in the past few years as a consequence of the recent influx of niche porn sites. The honest aficionados of porn have been replaced by businessmen who are merely in it for the money. The proportion of porn blogs grew as the number of porn providers multiplied exponentially. In an effort to jump on the bandwagon, I originally started Ozzlefung Porn Blog with the intention of doing Number 1. I planned to put up a jumble of affiliate links and tell my readers, “Here are the sexy girls, now click here!” and then make a fortune through pay-per-click and shared revenue programs.
But after a few entries I began to wonder, “Why would someone choose Ozzlefung over any other cheap and quick porn blogs out there?” There are so many porn blogs out there with the same purpose of flooding the pages with affiliate links that running across a quality porn blog is nearly impossible. I may be shooting myself in the foot, but I wanted to be unique with my porn blog. What do I consider a quality porn blog? Here are a few major concerns:
- Does not spam the page with links and ads.
- Features interesting and witty text.
- Links to relevant, prime selection of porn galleries.
The most detested porn bloggers are those who own and operate about 13 different freely hosted Thumblogger blogs whose only purpose is to upload thumbnails and write short text summaries. These do not offer any benefits to the porn community except acting as a recycling bin for sponsored images. As a result, they do not have any Page Rank and experienced blogs avoid trading links with them. To outlast the quarterly subscription to the hosting company, a porn blog must give readers a reason to bookmark the site, subscribe to the RSS feed and return for more beautiful porn in the future. I want to appeal to all types of readers with an interest in porn. Each of my entries has unique text content accompanied by a relevant pornographic thumbnail. So if you don’t want to waste your time reading, just enjoy the beautiful women. Cheers.
